As for the CG, it could be worse.
I couldn't believe they didn't light up tintin's leg on that running/shadow still.
When you're working on an already existing graphic material, either you respect the original graphic style, or you make a live-action version.
I was a big Tintin fan during my childhood and still like it, and I was pretty excited by the announce of a Spielberg film based on it. And now... all I can say: what a waste of time and money...
The cast was pretty good concerning the physical appearance, but I think I remember that to be also too much artificial, maybe unnatural, I don't know.
Both movies had original stories, not based on any Tintin comic book, and that can explain why I've never had real interest in them.
