i cant agree , i like that kid , and its not because he and i are such great friends , from that time i talked to him for 30 seconds outside the bardel studio !!!
it is fun to watch him fall hopelessly in love on the big screen ( as seen in every movie he s made .
i think after this failure he ( micheal Cera) should move into the category of character actor ,and not leading man. which i think is a better place for him .
i like that book scott pilgrim , its funny . the movie is good , some really fun fight scenes . i think the problem with the movie is they cast micheal cera as scott , and so scott on screen assume's all of micheal cera trademark characteristic , when they should have cast an unknown with a little more energy , an actor who doesn t bring all his baggage with him . someone who can make the character of scott pilgrim as original as the movie try's to be .
I used to have the same aversion to Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. Now they are showing up in some of my favorite movies. Does this mean that MC is on their level? Probably not.
SPvTW was a pretty awesome ride. I laughed, I cried, it was much better than "Cats".
at every point in their careers, dicaprio and brad pitt were justified for their being cast. i have no idea why someone who could only be justified as being a thrift store clerk is in movies.
not quite tanked, but didn't perform to expectations... i have nothing against edgar wright, though think he is slightly overrated. he is a capable storyteller who hasn't really told a great story yet.
