Also, "Marley & Me" was very surprising as it is not just another stupid romantic comedy. The marketing for that movie was ALL wrong. It had some of the worst marketing I have ever seen. Under rated movie imo.
I must say I think I am beginning to share your disdain for 3D animation though. It is sterile... and all the kids getting in to that industry just seem... brainless? Everything with them is an animal doing a joke, rinse, repeat.
I can't tell you how much I agree that cartoons need actual villains! Pixar is incredibly good at shipping movies with villains that just seem to shrink in... well villainy. Wall-E had no villain at all for Christ's sake. Sorry was about to go on a rant.
Anyways, keep fighting the good fight brotha, and don't watch those movies, and all the other ones coming out next year that are the same movie with a different title (I'm looking at you James Cameron's Poca-errr... Avatar.)
