There are no perfect movies - not even the best are flawless... There are a lot of bad movies. The following 11 aren't among them...

- Jurassic Park III
- Superman Returns
- Beowulf
- Terminator Salvation
- Alien Resurrection
- King Kong (2005)
- Mission: Impossible II
- The Spirit
- Pearl Harbor
- X-Men: The Last Stand
- Spiderman 3

Many movies are worse. Too often the internet polarizes opinion, becoming a crutch to those who can't decide on their own... Anyways, I was going to write a short bit in defence of each, but I lack the energy.

FIGHT!
  • Listening to: 'Crush' by Jennifer Paige
  • Reading: Stray Dogs & Lone Wolves
  • Drinking: 2L diet pepsis

Jurassic Park 3 I enjoy watching, I watch it pretty often with my nephew. I used to love the lost world as a kid, but now I watch it like "wow, this is not what I remember it being." But hey I've always been a big fan of T-Rex's so I don't have a problem watching it. Spider-Man 3, I have to say I don't enjoy. Peter Parker cutting his hair and dancing is not going to the dark side, the latest cartoon did a better job of that. Too much crying, hob-goblin is annoying and Venom was just a rock that hit the earth. The Spirit is just boring, but hey, it was Frank Miller's first film.

apologies i misread your post thought you said these movies were failures.

although i dont find many movies as complete failures, sp3 and X3 are def in my opinion disappointments at least compared to the films that preceded them

it seems most of the time that any comic book or big franchise movie that ends with a 3 is doomed to fail, toy story3 is a big exception, and hopefully dark knight rises wont go that road either.

I have to disagree about king king, it had a lot of elements that i think worked well. not perfect by no means but a fun spectacle to watch.

Aha! :XD: So it seems that I am NOT the only person who actually quite LIKED The Spirit ...

Beowulf was cool too, not least because of the brilliant twist on the classic legend ... but then it's typical Neil Gaiman, taking established mythology and turning it on its head. King Kong was a DAMN GOOD MOVIE, Jurassic Park III stood up well against the first two Spielberg-directed ones, and Pearl Harbour's a great movie for the hour or so that the actual attack itself is going on ...

i spend from the age of 15 to 20 watching all the movies i can and sleep like 2 am every day, so i see a lot of crap and a lot of good little movies and think i understand your point the internet era make all easy but a lot o people never ge to digest somethings like comic, movies, life, etc. and the erupt his first comment without thinking. i see a lot of movies and said why they don't get it. i see another thing and also some are tastes people can stand drama, westerns or cop movies, etc.

so from your list i 2 of them i don't see it at this time (beowulf and king kong) and 2 superman returns and the spirit i think they have a lot of good things but for me the mistake is the approach of the director to the source material.

all the others i enjoy almost all the movies have is flaws but are movies that you can even enjoy and are crap and also are ripoff of other classic movies and get a lot of buzz and don't are good movies.

in resume x-men 3, jurassic park 3, mission impossible 2 are a fast tracking pure fun pop corn movies whit good plot but rushed.

Termination Salvation and Alien Resurrection for me are in the same place are great movies and can be put side by side whit is original ones have good story and are good made for me Mc G shout my mouth when i see the movie.

pearl harbor for me is a good war movie and is a little under of the classic ones but this movie i see like the las radiohead album (i love radiohead) but this las album is not good or bad but have the nave radiohead in it, and some movies of Steven Spielberg don't are so good but is name make people see it different and is this move have another name instead of Michael Bay critics and people have another opinion.

and one thing i think Michael Bay do some great things and the year the crap matrix sequels said they going to do a awesome and never seen car chases Michael Bay did a much, much better scene in bad boys 2 and for me bad boys 2 have a lot of things of the hong kong cinema and also think Michael Bay see a lot o movies from all the globe and do good fun action packed movies. transformers 2 is only to much of that and to much of something make you don't want more.

and i left for the last Spiderman 3 the first half is awesome i believe that the movie go to epic levels but latter was a mess and bittersweet mess some things good some bad some repetitive from the first 2 movies and i blame the producers because Sam Rami don't want venom and that i think e study venom but don't get it e love classic spiderman and he have 2 choices kraven and lizard and sandman and the vulture and they make put venom so the idea of Kraven can be doing because kraven hut the lizard so he put out the vulture and when you have a idea and they force to do other thing whit a character that you don't know of care, your do the best but never going to do a love thing and i see love for spiderman in the eyes of Sam Raimi and think the people that put money in movies sometimes have a lot of faults in the movies. i see a lot of movies and i think one can see movies that are make to won money without love and movies that are made whit love and with or without money.

sorry for my long and full of errors comment, and again is the way i see movies and is only my opinion. and read others opinion and comments sometimes you see things that never see watching the movies.
