hello all!

i realize i have not posted anything for many, many months. i am sorry for this. though i currently draw fulltime, i have not been doing anything which i would want to post, even if i were able to. my mind is coming up with fun ideas which i have not been able to realize on paper due to time/energy constraints, which i find very frustrating and numbing. anyways, i am not dead, just temporarily inveigled into a franz kafka story.

Though it hasn't yet grown into a massive outcry, there is a slight bit of a negative murmerizing towards the Avengers movie Captain America costume... Well, I side with the opinion that it is nearly perfect. Superheroes are bogged down with some boring notion that they have to look all gritty, wicked and real-world. Whatev, I am all for superheroes appearing marginally towards dopey rather than badass-extreeem (i sneer in the direction of the otherwise beloved Spiderman and Superman)...

Zazie dans le Métro - proof that the french have no business in filmmaking. the only redeeming factor is that most involved are now toward their ultimate demises, if not already there.

in a less obscure rant, The Green Hornet nailed every aspect of being distressing crap. congratulations to all involved!

These days I am quite busy... However, I want to buy a set of samurai swords. As offered a few months ago, I am again offering to do some commissions should any suckers wish to partake in such a thing. The details are as follows...

I'll draw & colour your requested single character in a full body pose with which you can enjoy in its digital format in whatever way you please, aside from commercial purposes. If the character is your own, please have reference and/or a detailed description of his or her appearance, as I am not offering to design. Your character will be clothed. I require paypalness up front in the amount of $60 USD. I intend to have any commissions completed for you by the end of this month.

I'll only do two this time around. Let me know in a private message of your interest...

(BTW, saw Green Lantern - POINTLESS, BORING, BRUTAL!!!)

The best Hercules ever put on screen (with the close second being the one from Jason and the Argonauts) finally comes to DVD in early October. I am disappointed that it is not the entire 100+ episodes though - rather some undisclosed minimal amount fitting on a single disc. Hopefully this will lead to additional volumes.

One day I'll finish my The Mighty Hercules drawing I started a year ago.

I've tried to thank every person for their comments in my few years of using this site, but lately haven't been as on top of it. I appreciate every comment, favourite and watch (not so much the llamas), even if i have rudely neglected to reply... I am proactively stating that comments made over the next month will eventually be read but will most likely not responded to, as I'll be out on the seal hunt.

Thanks to those who had me draw their favourite characters. Lots of diverse things which I may not have normally drawn. It ended up being almost fun!

Anyways, here is my last call for commissions - I'll be able to fit one or two more for any interested people. Contact me through the note feature of this very site. I won't take anymore after the next two days or so. Not sure if or when I'll have the time to do this again.

ENDED!

I have nothing to do this month, and am not really looking to start up on anything substantial as I'll be away for most of next. So this leaves me with a few weeks with which I can either properly start drawing my samurai comic or procrastinate further by instead offering my meager abilities to you, the reader of this journal entry. Yes, I have never done commissions and don't fully understand what they are all about, but I am open to try a limited amount in this downtime...

Super limited time only and I'll just do a couple before returning to my lovable 'I-never-do-commissions-ever-so-stop-asking' status. Send me a note.

***ADDED INFOS*** A few have asked me about a bust-type of image. I didn't realize this would be a desirable thing. Coloured waist up type of image for the amount of $35 USD via paypals.

***ALSO*** No nakeds.

There are no perfect movies - not even the best are flawless... There are a lot of bad movies. The following 11 aren't among them...

- Jurassic Park III
- Superman Returns
- Beowulf
- Terminator Salvation
- Alien Resurrection
- King Kong (2005)
- Mission: Impossible II
- The Spirit
- Pearl Harbor
- X-Men: The Last Stand
- Spiderman 3

Many movies are worse. Too often the internet polarizes opinion, becoming a crutch to those who can't decide on their own... Anyways, I was going to write a short bit in defence of each, but I lack the energy.

FIGHT!

Recently I saw bits and pieces of a couple of movies on TV, which I now am desiring to watch in full - Honey and Spymate. I am certain that I am late to the party on these, as each must have a massive and rabid fanbase. I can't wait to watch these in their entirety.

Yes, I have discovered the worst group. It has one member, who I happen to know is an idiot! You should join up to laugh at him!

Ok ok, awesomely comedic self-deprecating hilarity aside, I have started this group of which I mock. I secretly hope everyone will love it and join. It is a group which I simply started to gather inspirational images to inspire me to inspire the world. It is called 'ChanbaraSet' which loosely refers to samurai genre movies and my my attempt to compile images reflecting this here on the deviantarts.

So join it. There is one sole lonely member as I write this. It is really pathetic.

(actually, the 'GiveALlamaGetALlama', 'AllArtSupport' and 'The-Poetry-Cafe' are much worse than mine. disgusting, really)

Thanks to those who have ordered my 'the hollow of the harbour wave' print - I really appreciate it! As I have previously outlined, all artist proceeds will go towards Japanese recovery. Our small assistance is of utmost importance, as Our Lady of Oscar-Award-Winning-Salvation Angelina Jolie must be light years away searching through the newly-discovered remnants of her destroyed homeworld of Krypton - she is nowhere to be seen...

Anyways, if you have yet to but are considering purchasing a print, please do so! I will be taking the print option down at some point in the next month or two.

Thanks again!
