This movie with the little baby is one of my favorites, because we get to see another of Zatoichi's sides. (I hope this sentence is understandable! haha!)

nope, not lone wolf. in a couple of zatoichi movies, the character does the fighting-while-holding-a-baby thing. i can't say that zatoichi did this first in the world of moviedom, but he predates lone wolf movies in this action.

katsu shintaro (who played zatoichi) was the younger brother of the lone wolf actor, tomisaburo wakayama, and also produced the lone wolf series.
